dRAG-2! Burrowing specialist robot and prolly the weakest of them. It's quite limited in it's weaponry but tries to make up for that with the element of surprise.

The design's been around for a little while but I never drew it up good and proper :3

DIMENSIONS:
HEIGHT – 64.97 when reared
LENGTH – 124.02

ADDITIONAL:

- Based on dRAG-bots we have recovered from the field, it is easy to see that 0029 is at a distinct advantage in the air. So why not take it from its comfort zone?
dRAG-2, my second ingenious dragon-class robotic creation, has been designed with the earth as its home!

Aesthetically, design cues came from Chlamydosaurus kingii and Ophiophagus hannah (The Frill-Necked Lizard and the King Cobra respectively). I completely eliminated limbs in favor of a more recognizable reptilian design. Of course, this means Drag-2 is without significant weaponry, but naturally I’ve taken this into account.
His ‘frill’ is built much like an enormous drill. The three rings rotate separately of each other at extremely high speed and, combined with the extendable drill in the snout, means dRAG-2 can fully submerge in earth. Extra precautions have been taken to solve the problem of earth and rubble entering the frame: an extra saw is located toward the back of the mouth to destroy small rubble that seeps into the mouth upon initial contact with the earth. This is fed out of the back of the head casing, behind the drill itself. The exhaust vents in the nose point backward with a guard to prevent anything clogging that. And, most importantly, the wire-work is enclosed within a flexible metallic compound I invented myself. It’s similar to the metal used in dRAG-1’s extending wings, only much more pliable.
dRAG-2 will obviously house the standard plasma cannon in it’s mouth, as well as hydraulics in the jaw and an interchangeable tail drill, just incase. Dual spikes seem relevant here too, only around vital portions of the bot though, not enough budget yet to cover it in spikes.

I’m optimistic this will give us the upper hand in ground combat. 0029 won’t even know what hit him.
