I drew up a quick sketch in my scraps of dRAG-3 (Which was set to be dRAG-2 at the time) and again never did anything with it. I stuck fairly close to the original idea, but obviously had to flesh it out more to get a full design :3

FAUX ROBOTICS DEPT.
FILE 0217, "dRAG-3 CONCEPT"

---

DIMENSIONS:
HEIGHT – 52.09
LENGTH – 44.61
WINGSPAN – 124+ at full extension

---

ADDITIONAL:

- Although 0029 obviously has the upper hand in the air, I feel it necessary to try and outclass him in his element anyway. Gives me somewhat of a challenge! Thus was born dRAG-3.
Aesthetically based from the extinct Rhamphorhynchus Pterosaur and general cues of the Wyvern species we have on the island, dRAG-3 is built solely for flight.

The wingspan was made as large as possible, almost as long as dRAG-2 at full extension is what we managed to achieve. The torso and pelvis casings were made much thicker and more ornate; more difficult for 0029 to get that damned beak around. The stabilizing toe at the back of the foot has been made retractable and much more functional and I believe it will actually be able to grab with its talons similar to birds of prey. The head was also drastically altered, although only aesthetically. It is particularly menacing to look at, if I do say so myself (And I do!).
Jets were added wherever possible. No room was available in the base of the foot like with dRAG-1, so they were moved up the leg. Stronger jets were added to the wing forearm and a large jet added to the back, there’ll be no out-flying this beast! The weaponry has been upgraded with dRAG-3, we’re trying specialist heat-seeking missiles with this one - 5 loaded to each wing and a large supply to the mouth in fact.
I already know I’m going to be pulled up on the horribly flimsy neck casing, but in order to get the range of motion I’m looking for at the speed I’m wanting it had to be sacrificed. The internal computer will have to be programmed to be extremely defensive of the neck, that’s all. No problem. When it’s made, they’ll see. It’ll give favorable results.
